Tony is a versatile stallion with an exceptional disposition, almost perfect conformation, baby doll head, iridescent color and natural athletic ability. Better yet he is passing on these traits to his foals.
Tony gives 110 percent in any task he is asked to perform from showing at halter to performance.
As a four year old with only 120 days of TOTAL training Tony placed 1st in open reining at the Tehama District Fair in Red Bluff and also made a stellar performance at the WCRHA show at Rancho Murieta against the “ big shots”. Tony also has numerous awards at halter and has been the IBHA reserve champion at halter 3 years in a row at the NCDBA fall classic in Red Bluff.
Out of four foal crops Tony has sired 3 perlinos, 5 palominos, 2 black, 6 buckskin, 4 sorrel, 4 bays, 1 red dun and 1 cremello. All of our clients tell us their foals have excellent dispositions, are easy to work with and willing to please. In addition they are quite athletic and have Tony’s baby doll head and huge hip. The first of his get are starting under saddle and are doing great!

Professional Bull Rider Tony Mendes riding his namesake, "Tony". Tony is registered AQHA, IBHA, ABRA and is NFQHA 90 percent foundation. In addition Tony has been tested at UC Davis for HYPP and Herda and both tests are negative.
